The group of Governors brings to the school and its children
a variety of skills and interests.
Governors usually serve a four year term and have responsibility for
many aspects of the running of the school, for which training is given. As well as attending full Governing Body
meetings once a term, each Governor also sits on at least one specialist
committee. The Annual Report is
presented to parents at the Governors’ Annual General Meeting, which takes
place during the autumn term, enabling parents to maintain close contact with
both the Governors and the school. A
regular newsletter is also produced and distributed to all parents. The current

husband moved to Templecombe in May 2005 with their two daughters who attend
Abbas & Templecombe Primary. Sarah
is a registered childminder and her spare time is spent with the family, their
three dogs and the girl’s ponies.

Caroline has lived
in the village for 30 years and is married with two children. She has two jobs,
as teaching assistant at the school and as a registered nurse, both of which
she finds very rewarding. Caroline
helps with various after school activities and, in her spare time, enjoys
cookery, all sports and holidays in the sun.
