Newsletter Autumn 06 2005
7th December 2005
Dear Parents
In the run up to the last two weeks of term I thought a general newsletter to remind you of a few events on the horizon might be useful.
School Achievement
Please see the attached letter from Tommy Walker, Chair of Governors. We were all delighted with the children’s achievements and the school’s position in the National Performance tables. Well done to all of the staff for their hard work during the time the children have been at the school.
Christmas Bazaar
A reminder that the Christmas Bazaar is this Friday 9th December at 2.00pm in the school hall. Please come and support this annual event. A reminder that cakes, biscuits, bric-a-brac etc, will be gratefully received up to the day. Helpers still needed for stalls!
After School Clubs
This is the last week for after school clubs and a new ‘prospectus for clubs’ will be sent out in January 2006.
Icy Paths
Tracey Ballard, crossing patrol, has very thoughtfully pointed out to me that the footpaths near the bridge are treacherous at the moment, so would everyone please be cautious to avoid slipping and injuring themselves.
Dates

Monday 19th December – All children to Yeovil Octagon Theatre (Uniform today please) for “Snow White” (separate letter to follow)
Tuesday 20th December – End of Term Carol Service at St Mary’s at 1.45pm.
Please join us at this special event (Alan’s last end of term service for our school). Children can be taken from school after the service.
4th January – school re-opens for Spring Term.
A letter about the Snow White trip will follow early next week, giving times of return to school etc.
It just remains for me to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year on behalf of all of the staff, and to thank you for your continuing support of our school.
Looking forward to the New Year 2006!
Yours sincerely
Bernie Green
