Newsletter Summer 01 2005

Dear Parents

 

Welcome back after what I hope was a very enjoyable Easter break.  The staff have certainly come back very refreshed and ready for the Summer Term.  As you know Jane Rosser is acting Head teacher at Keinton Mandeville this term, therefore if I am out of school for Inspection purposes,  Anne Pritchard will  be available to discuss any issues that may arise.

 

Year 6 Visit to London

Year 6 are looking forward to an exciting trip to London tomorrow, Wednesday 12th April.  Please could all Year 6 children be at school by 8:10am, with a packed lunch. (School uniform and suitable foot ware)  We will return to Templecombe station on the 4:50pm train from Waterloo, arriving at Templecombe by 6:30ish. Please collect your child  at the station.

 

PE Kit

A new term, with lots of growing children with larger feet!  Would you  be kind enough to check that foot ware in particular still fits (plimsolls etc) and that your child has suitable PE kit at school each day.  Please  see the school website for details of PE kit (School Prospectus).  Incidentally, a reminder that all  newsletters appear on the website, along with projects that the pupils have been involved in.  It is well worth a look.

 

After School Clubs

The new details about After School Clubs will be sent home on Thursday, as we are waiting for some clubs to be confirmed.  Clubs will begin again next week, so please return your child’s request promptly.

 

Governors` Questionnaire

Every two years the Governing body like to survey  parents regarding their views about our school and how it is organised.  The survey will be sent home shortly, therefore would you please support any improvements by returning the completed questionnaire.

 

Water Bottles

A reminder that we encourage children to drink water frequently throughout the day, therefore would you please ensure they bring a water bottle to school each day.

 

Details of dates and events for the Summer term will be sent home on Friday.
