Dear Parents

“Swap a Class” Afternoon

Every year we provide the opportunity for pupils to spend an afternoon with the teacher and pupils who will work with them from September 06.  The afternoon designated this year is Wednesday 5th July 2006.

The class structure is as follows:

Diamond Class             Reception                     Miss Pritchard and Mrs Moorse

Emerald Class              Year 1 and 2                Mrs Fellows and Mrs Benjafield

Ruby Class                   Year 3 and 4                Mrs Laurie and Mrs Dersley

Sapphire Class             Year 4 and 5                Mrs Geary and Mrs Delahay

Topaz Class                 Year 6                          Mrs Brettell  (and Mrs Sherry from January 07)

As you can see, some children will have the same teacher due to the class structure.  Ruby Class will contain Year 3 and the majority of Year 4 pupils.  Approximately six Year 4 pupils will join Year 5 pupils in Sapphire Class.  We select children on the basis of their performance in Ruby Class and their levels of social maturity, because it is very important that they can work to the high demands of an essentially “Year 5 class”.  The children who will be going into Sapphire Class will receive a letter to give to their parents on the 3rd July.  If you have any concerns about the class placement for your child for September please let me know.

Sports Day

A reminder that Sports Day will take place on Tuesday 4th July at 1.30pm.  Please come and enjoy this afternoon of competition and fun.  Refreshments will be provided.

“Mary Poppins”

The dress rehearsal for our Summer production is on Friday 7th July at 1:45pm. If you would like to attend this performance you will be very welcome.

Mrs Hart

Tara Hart leaves us on Friday as she has now completed her training period. I would like to thank Tara on behalf of all of the pupils , staff and parents for her hard work. We wish her success in the future.

Yours sincerely
