Dear Parents
Just a brief note to bring us to the end of the school year and wish you all a very happy Summer break.
Staffing
Mrs Janet Fellows has been appointed as Emerald Class teacher/ Topaz Class teacher from September 05. We welcome Jan to the school and hope that she enjoys her time at Abbas and Templecombe. Jan is visiting the school on Wednesday this week, therefore you may have the opportunity to say hello.
Sarah Lea is leaving her part time post as Administrative Assistant, therefore we thank her for her contributions to the school over the last year.
The part timeAdministrative post will be advertised in the Western Gazette, along with the new NVQ3/ NNEB post for the Early Years.
Summer Fete
Thank you to all who supported the Summer Fete this year. We raised approximately £1100, which is excellent. Once again the Friends are hoping to support a whole school theatre trip, amongst other things this year.
Year 6 Leavers
Shirt signing for Year 6 is on Thursday this week.
Our End of Year Assembly is at 1:45pm at St Mary`s Church. Please come to say goodbye to the leavers and enjoy our end of year service. All welcome.
I am sure you will join me in wishing all of Year 6 good luck in their new schools.
School Reopens :
The new school year begins on Monday 5th September. This year there are no teacher training days within the main term dates, therefore you will notice a longer holiday period in October. The dates for next year will be available in the Governors` Annual Report to Parents, issued in September, but if you need details in advance please ask at the school office.
