The group of Governors brings to the school and its children a variety of skills and interests. Governors usually serve a four year term and have responsibility for many aspects of the running of the school, for which training is given. As well as attending full Governing Body meetings once a term, each Governor also sits on at least one specialist committee. The Annual Report is presented to parents at the Governors' Annual General Meeting, which takes place during the autumn term, enabling parents to maintain close contact with both the Governors and the school. A regular newsletter is also produced and distributed to all parents.

Linda Davies, Parent Governor. End of Term 26/09/12
Currently the Chair until Sept 2010.
Linda manages a local secondary school library and is a scout leader in Templecombe. She is married and both daughters started their school life at Templecombe School.

Jonathan Franks, Parent Governor. End of term 17/11/13.
Sits on the finance and premises committee.
Jonathan is the father of two children at school, Sam and Jess.

Robin Savill, Parent Governor. End of Term 30/11/13
Robin has two daughters at the school and is interested in art and creative learning.

Oliver Bedford, Parent Governor. End of Term 13/10/12
Sits on the Curriculum committee.
Oliver has two children at the school. He works as a Technical Manager for the Watercress Company in Dorset.

Allan Watson, Parent Governor, Vice Chair until September 2010. End of term 08/10/12
Sits on the finance and premises and curriculum committees.
Allan is a supervisor for a local lighting company. He has two children at the school and has lived in Templecombe since 2001.

Charles James, Community Governor, Parish Council. End of term 21/09/12
Charles is a Parish Councillor and Lay Minister. He is very keen to see the standards of our village school maintained and is willing to do his share in responsibility in this as a governor.

Sarah Webb, Community Governor. End of Term 05/11/10
Sarah is the training governor and has two boys in school but is also vice chair of the Parish Council.

Revd Peter Hallett, Rector of St Mary’s Church Templecombe since 2006. He is an ex-officio governor.
Peter sits on the personnel committee.

Trevor Lea, Parent Governor. End of term 04/11/12.
Trevor is Chair of the Curriculum committee.
Trevor is married with two children and is a sales and marketing manager for an aerospace company. His interests include music and sport.

Sharon Moorse, Staff Governor. End of Term 11/11/11
Sharon has worked in the school for many years in the Foundation Stage. She is in the final year of a degree in teaching and is an HLTA.

Chris Brown, Community Governor. End of term 14/11/12
Chris is Chair of the finance committee.
Chris wishes to support a very good school.

Sarah Turner, Associate Governor. End of term 29/03/13
Sarah sits on the curriculum committee and is a Child Protection Governor.
Sarah is a childminder in the village and has a daughter in year 6.

Jube Walker, Foundation Governor (Appointed by the Diocese of Bath and Wells and St Mary’s Church). End of term 26/10/12
Jube sits on the curriculum committee and is a SEN governor.
Jube is currently training as a secondary school music teacher. She is an active member of Yeovil Community Church.

Russell Hamblin-Boone, Foundation Governor. End of term 21/06/14
Russell sits on the personnel and curriculum committee.
Russell lives in the village and commutes daily to London. As a foundation governor he is keen that all children are treated equally and are given strong moral leadership. He has been a governor since 2004.
