All parents of children attending the school are automatically members of theFriends of Abbas and Templecombe School. The Annual General Meeting takes place each September when the committee of 11 parents is elected. The "Friends" is a very important part of the school; it raises funds to provide those extra facilities that make such a difference to the education of the children. We have provided funds for computers, books and sports equipment including the school team netball kit. We also organise entertainment for the children, including school discos and an Easter Egg Hunt.

A variety of fund raising events are held throughout the year, such as quiz nights and bingo evenings. The main event is the annual summer fête.

We always welcome new faces to come and help, particularly if they have an area of expertise. The meetings are always very entertaining! Parents don't necessarily have to come to every meeting but if they are able to help at, or organise, an event then it is always appreciated.
